Kid Gaucho is a project that emerges in Buenos Aires in 2002, headed by Lucas Lasnier and Andrés Bonavera, both graphic designers and illustrators.
Both Lucas and Andres are part of a generation fed on new aesthetic parameters, more versatile and anxious, expressed in cultural facts like the scene skater, the arrival of MTV in Latin America or the street art. One of their distinctive qualities is their ability to create these new visual elements into the communication of an original and effective idea that highlights their commitment to the message that is transmitted.
During its five years in the market, Kid gaucho has been using several support resources (walls, animation, web, fabrics) to generate own contents capable of exceeding the common places that a trend or vogue can impose. Their proposal is to address design through a multidisciplinary approach. To this end, Kid Gaucho constantly includes in their professional team other areas like illustrators, entertainers, industrial and fashion designers.
The creative proposal of this project is to express their ideas in several languages (Illustration, painting, animation, calligraphy) and work tools to define a dynamic and versatile approach that works both in the commercial and experimental areas. This creative style is expressed in four essential areas of work: Direction of Art, Brand Image, Graphic Design and Animation.
Kid Gaucho has taken part in such events as The Walls Say (University of Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina: June, 2006), ONEDOTZERO (Cultural Center Recoleta, Buenos Aires, Argentina: October, 2006), IDE (Innovation and Design Expo), Hong Kong, China: December, 2006). They also offered conferences and workshops at the University of La Plata (La Plata, Argentina), University of Palermo (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and University of Cauca (Popayán, Colombia).
